Hi {FIRSTNAME} and
welcome to today's issue of Keeping in Touch.
A big, warm 'hello' to all our new subscribers.
Did you all have a
fun weekend? Amazing that it's already
September when it took so long for Summer to even
begin this
year. Now we have less than three weeks before Fall
starts.
Let's think back a
few years -- a few years more; back to when
you were a kid. Try to recall that sense of freedom to
be and
do what you wanted. You didn't need fancy toys or
games to
experience a fabulous day. Your imagination took you
to the
places you wanted to go. You created your own games
and made
your own fun.
As we age, we tend to
lose some of that free spirit that lies
within us. It's part of the growing up process. We
finish
school, choose a career, a life partner and perhaps
start a
family. Now we find ourselves with endless
responsibilities and
too many demands on our time. Our focus tends to stay
with
the day to day tasks leaving little time for our own
needs and
wants.
This state creates a
constant feeling of stress and that's not
good. When you are totally stressed out, it's
difficult to
think clearly and make decisions that are good for
you. Before
you let all that stress take a toll on your health,
step back
and see where you can start taking some quality time
for just
you.
You may only find a
few minutes to start with. Take advantage
of that time. Pamper yourself with a nice relaxing
bubble
bath or tuck yourself away and read an inspiring book.
Go for a
walk in a park. Take time to remember who you are,
what you
want and then do something about it. Start dreaming
again and
feel the excitement of accomplishing that dream. Our
dreams,
our goals, our wants and desires are all wrapped
together and
are a part of our very core, even when we don't always
remember
it. Our dreams and goals provide us with the
motivation to keep
moving towards our goals. Find that 'free spirit'
within you.
It never went away. It was pushed down by everything
else for
awhile. Never give up on your dreams!

Arleen M. Kaptur. Common courtesy together with follow
up will
take you much further in your Internet business. Think
about
how you feel when you reach out for assistance or
information
and nothing happens. As Arlene suggests, you now have
the
ability to reach out globally. It's important to set
your own
rules and standards at the start of your business and
stay
away from bad habits. You are dealing with real
people. Make
sure they know you are approachable and that they can
count on
you.
I've done something a
little different with our Special Feature
today and will likely continue in this line for a few
issues.
Too many of us put our dreams on hold or don't bother
setting
goals because 'they'll never happen'. The key to any
achievement rests completely in your hands. That's the
bottom
line. I hope you enjoy today's Special. It's called
Don't Let
Go of Hope.

WE'LL GET BACK TO YOU

When you decide to
open up a website, you are
literally inviting thousands of visitors into your
storefront. Some speak different languages, come
from foreign countries, and live all over the
world.
Information about
your product or service will be
read from "sea to shining sea" and possibly
make
its way around the world many times a day. With
all the technological advances and new discoveries,
the one constant or fine point of
marketing that does not change, in any language,
or at any destination, is common courtesy and great
service. Those magic words of "Thank You"
and
"Welcome" are understood in any dialect. If
you add
a very potent one - "I'm sorry" then you
have mastered
the complex world of international marketing.
If you have a great
product and service, why is there
a need to say "I'm sorry"? Well, when
translations
occur, requests can be misread or even "lost in
the
translations." Product descriptions or service
guarantees may not use terms that are readily
acceptable or understood so further explanations
are in need. A myriad of other examples exist, but
being ready to use "I'm sorry for the delay"
or
"I'm sorry but I don't understand your questions
or concern" should be as much a part of your
repertoire or responses as is "Thank you for your
order" and "Thank you for letting us serve
you
again."
While languages
differ, basic common courtesy
toward people does not. A simple phrase of
acknowledgement such as "Welcome" is
appreciated
in the grasslands as well as in a desert. If we
practice
enough of it, it comes automatically and we don't
even have to try and remember "Thank you" or
"Please be assured.." While spellings,
sentence
structure and other grammatical functions change
in different cultures or societies, politeness and
courtesy never does. If you say "Thank you"
with
a smile, it will be read "Thank you (with a
smile)"
at the other end of your communication as well.
Saying "I'm sorry for a delay in shipment"
and a
brief explanation will bring repeat business and
a good relationship with a customer faster than
silence will. Also, you know how annoying having
someone say "I'll call you right back" and
then
they never do can be. It's the same with e-mails
and over the internet responses. Frustration levels
increase with each automated response that
says the same thing, and then someone never does.
Well if you're upset over non-return calls, then
so will your customers.
Discourtesy seems to
be on the rise in concrete
business and government communication. You ask
for information, raise a question, or present a
concern, and the pat "We'll get back..."
strikes that
thought in the back of your mind, "Sure you
will."
Don't let this malady creep into your internet
business world, or let it fester into poor service or
total disregard for the customer, with the exception
of their spending their hard-earned money to purchase
your product or service.
If you don't try to
provide the basics in polite business
practices, the next "I'm sorry" may be from
the
customer when you try to close a sale, or worse yet,
"We'll get back to you." You can't bank on
that one,
and you know it.

I've received a few
questions about this product so I'll
explain in a bit more detail what this product does.
VendoMatic is a great
tool that will let you create a variety
of sales pages (letters) for various products you
offer. You
can select from several options for the background
color (both
solids and stripes) so that your pages have a unique
look to
them. It will also create the thank you/download page
in the
same format.
It is not a website
builder. You will want more details and
information on your site. It's an affordable tool and
as one
subscriber suggested, you could start with VendoMatic
while
you build the rest of your site. That way you have a
product
incorporated right in to your site.
The best part is that
it generates the html code for you. All
you have to do is copy and paste it to your page and
upload it
to your site.
It is not exclusive
to Clickbank as a payment medium. You can

Clipboard Hog
When you use the
"copy" or "cut" command, it copies
information to your Windows clipboard. That
information is kept in your RAM memory until it's
replaced by something else.
If you're copying
large items, this can adversely affect your computer's
performance. The large file, picture, object, or
whatever it was that you copied is in your RAM, even
after it has been pasted.
For example, let's
say you have 24 meg of free RAM. You copy an 8 meg
file to your clipboard. Now, that file will continue
to occupy 8 meg of RAM until something else is placed
on the clipboard, the clipboard is purged, or you
restart your computer, which can slow down your
computer appreciably.
The simplest way
around this is to just copy something small to your
clipboard. Anything small is fine. Since your
clipboard can only hold one item at a time, the old 8
meg file is replaced with the new small file.
You could also open
the Clipboard Viewer, hit the Edit menu, then Delete.
This will quickly purge the clipboard contents.
