Hi {FIRSTNAME} and welcome to today's issue of Keeping in Touch.
A big, warm 'hello' to all our new subscribers.
Living in countries like Canada and the United States of America
is wonderful. There is a natural tendancy to become somewhat
passive or complacent about our liberty -- the freedoms we all
enjoy. That is, until something drastic happens -- then we
remember how much we have and how fortunate we truly are.
You are free to choose whether you participate in a religion or
not; you are free to express your opinions whether anyone else
agrees with your views or not; you are free to choose your
education; you are free to choose what profession you desire;
you are free to choose whether you want to work or not. It's
your choice.
No one tells you what to wear or what color to dye your hair or
whether you should tatoo or pierce most of your body parts.
It's your choice.
With all the ugliness happening in our world right now, I truly
don't understand why such a fuss about using 'God' or prayer in
our schools has become such an issue. Both countries have been
created from a melting pot of different people, faiths and
traditions. You are not required to learn the language or
accept the faith or traditions of your ethnic neighbor. It is
hoped that you will be neighborly and treat people the way you
wish to be treated. Surely our focus can, and should, be on
more productive issues. Why is so much time, effort and money
being spent to change this basic concept?

My concern is more about what will eventually replace the
traditions and history that are a part of who we are right now.
What will replace what has truly set our countries apart? And
who will ultimately decide what is 'best' for all?

3 Opportunity Killers To Knock On The Head!

Life is full of opportunities. Yet, despite this, we often
don't recognize opportunities when we see them. The scary
part is; when opportunities fail to get acted upon, it’s
usually because we have fallen victim to one, or all 3,
of these deadly opportunity killers:
Opportunity Killer #1
We have all suffered from it - that human emotion called
'fear'. It may be fear of failure, fear of success, fear
of making a decision, fear of change, or even the fear of
what people might think. Fear is infectious and will kill
any opportunity...if we let it!
Opportunity Killer #2
The second deadly culprit is procrastination. A lot of
people spend a lifetime dreaming about what they could
do. One day they will do this, and then they're "gonna"
do that... but never quite get around to it. In the words
of singer Rita Coolidge "Too often the opportunity knocks,
but by the time we push back the chain, push back the bolt,
unlock the locks and shut off the burglar alarm, it's too
late."
And for those who are still waiting for opportunity to
knock, my advice would be, to build a door. In other
words - we need to make our own opportunities!
Opportunity Killer #3
Lack of commitment completes this deadly trio. Many people
fail to make determined moves to fulfill their dreams and
desires. These people often consider themselves to be
unlucky and blame anyone and anything else for their
lack of good fortune and success.
Trouble is; failure usually rears its ugly head when we
give up trying to reach our goals and realize our dreams.
That's why we should never lose sight of our goals or
dreams. That’s right - circumstances, obstacles and
problems are just there to test us.
The bottom line is; we must accept some responsibility
for our plight in life. In many situations we create
circumstances that result in either favorable or
unfavorable outcomes. We are responsible because
we all make choices in life!
Although we won't always admit to it - we tend to make
our own good fortune - be it good or bad.
Indeed, we must knock these opportunity killers on the head
before they infect our lives. We must prepare ourselves in
every way we can by increasing our knowledge and adding to
our experience. It’s only when we recognize that there is
little difference between obstacles and opportunity, that we
can turn both to our advantage. That way, when opportunity
does knock, we are ready to make the most of it.

6 Tips For Business Success

Learning to make money on the internet can be a very difficult
task. There are so many different people telling you how to be
successful, and the majority of them are still struggling to
make a buck.
From many years in the advertising business, I learned one very
important thing. Making a business a success is not an overnight
task.
Many clients came to me thinking that I could write an ad
campaign that would turn their business into an instant success.
Fact is, I can probably write a campaign to sell anything you
have. However, that alone will not make your business
successful.
Your business success is going to eventually depend on the type
products that you offer and/or the service that you provide. As
I stated, I can write a campaign to sell anything but if that
product is worthless, your next product is going to be very
difficult to sell.
If you have decided to jump into the internet marketing arena,
here are a few things that could help you be more successful.
1. Choose Your Products Carefully - Don't just sell a product or
service because you can. Check them out before you dive in to
offering them with your name attached. Remember your reputation
is on the line and making a few dollars now is not worth the
long term damage that can occur. Choose carefully and remember,
you want to sell something that people will be happy with. If
you get the reputation of being associated with good products,
you have won half the battle.
2. Make Your Product Valuable - You are going to read 100 times
a day that the best way to make money on the internet is to have
your own product. Make sure it is of high quality when you do
it. Do not sacrifice quality just to get a product on the
market. I know plenty of people who make a very nice living on
the net without their own product. Yes, in time, your own
product will be beneficial but don't rush it.
3. Provide Excellent Service - There are a lot of people trying
to make a living on the internet. No matter what you are
selling, there are others selling the same product or something
similar. Providing your customers with high quality service is
one of the ways that you can distinguish yourself from the rest.
Go that extra mile for your customers. If you want to build a
successful business, nothing can help you more than happy
customers.
4. Look Past Today - So many people starting out in business on
the internet, do not have the patience to build a successful
business. There are so many of the "Get Rich Quick" schemes
being pushed, that many lose sight of good solid business
practices. To build a solid business, you must lay a good
foundation. That takes work.
5. Don't Be Overwhelmed - It is very easy to become frustrated
by the number of things required to operate a successful
business on the internet. You have to put things in perspective.
You have to be willing to put forth the effort required to
learn. Don't be lured by the temptation to take the "easy" way.
No matter what kind of promises you see, being a success is
going to take work.
6. Educate Yourself - The more you learn about the marketing
business, the more successful you will be. There are many ways
to educate yourself.
You can find a lot of free information out there that can help
you in your quest to become more knowledgeable. I read a lot of
that material and one can profit tremendously from these
sources. In fact, if you are just getting started, I would urge
you to read as much material as possible.
There is one fact in life that will never change. Most of us
don't like to listen but there are people who have been where
you want to go. They know some of the small things that can help
you get where you want to be. Most of the time, this information
does not come free.
You can work at something for years and by the process of time
and experience, you will learn how to be successful. But there
are those who have been there, done that. Take advantage and
learn from them. If you are serious about your business, be
willing to spend some money on your education.
Working your own business on the internet can be quite
rewarding. Just make sure that you are willing to put forth the
effort required to be successful. This includes the willingness
to spend some time and money on your education. Also, don't
expect that success to happen overnight and be willing to give
that extra effort that will make yourself stand out from the
crowd. And most important of all, build a good reputation by
associating yourself with quality products and services.

Hi Lois, there is no solution...I've published a free ad ezine
for about 2 years now, and some people will never get it right,
plus you are always going to have newbies subscribing that will
not understand what formatting even means. You have to decide to
let them slide and publish the ad as is, or hit your delete
button and hope they figure it out on their own, or stop
publishing free ads.
You have to decide from those 3 options, because you can't
change and control what others do, you can only choose to react
a certain way.
