Thanks -- I appreciate the help. By the time I realized
that it may not have sent, it was quite late and I hate to
re-send if most of you received it. My main concern is
for those of you who placed ads in the various programs. I
was shown that it was a 'successful send'.
Last year I wrote an article entitled 'My Dreams Are
Worthless'. The theme is about setting goals for your
business and for yourself. More importantly, it's about
the steps you need to take you there.
These 'steps' are significant to your success. You are
bound to know what you want to achieve. Have you written
down the steps that will take you there? The act of
writing them down and reading them daily is a very key
element in achieving your goals. If you want financial
security, time freedom, investment funds, travel the world
-- whatever you've chosen to set for your goals, you need to
know how you are going to get there.
While this won't be the easiest task you have set for
yourself, it will be one of the most beneficial things you
can do to achieve your goals -- your dreams. Writing it
down puts it all into your 'subconscious' mind and will
help you maintain your focus.

Don't settle for having a vague idea of what you want to
achieve. That spells 'failure'. You won't get to where
you want to go if you don't have the map to help you. Look
at writing your goals as your map. Do it now.

journal. There is always the coaching method which I've
mentioned previously. A coach can be one of the best

I've been hearing some rumblings about the lack of security
for companies like PayPal and even ClickBank. This latest
'alarm' appears to have some merit. I have been doing some
reading and have suggested this matter be included in our
weekly ebizWorks meeting tonight. I'll let you know what
I find out.

The main concern is the fact that the more undesirable
elements who profess to 'do business on the Internet' have
figured out how to steal your products rather than have to
pay for them. Now if this happened once or twice, it would
be nasty but you could probably live with it.
What happens when that person decides to pass the
information on to everyone he knows? And that person in
turn does the same. Worst case scenario is that you could
be out of business in short order. We'll keep on top of
this one.

THE 10 STEPS TO FINANCIAL SUCCESS

Some people dream of success...while others wake up and work
hard at it.
'If you've tried to do something and failed you are much
better off, than, if you tried to do nothing and succeeded.'
THE TEN STEP PLAN TO FINANCIAL INDEPENDANCE...
AND PERHAPS EVEN WEALTH
The ordinary (and perhaps even lazy) person's sure and
steady way to wealth and happiness. The 'secrets' to better
money management and perhaps even 'riches'. No, really there
are no secrets. It's all simple, basic common-sense.
Well now is a great time of the year to reflect on past
happenings and plan ahead for 2002. Some points to 'kick
off' ...
1. Accept that you can achieve financial success and make a
COMMITMENT to yourself to attain it. It is within your
grasp. if you really want it. Really BELIEVE it - that is
the most important step. Only then will the incredible
power of the human mind work out a means of achieving it.
Reject the idea that work is simply something you have to do
until the age of retirement. Doing this involves a change
of attitude, of mind-set.
2. Ask yourself this: Where do you want to be in 2,5 and 10
years time? Set goals that excite you. If you could do
absolutely anything with your life, what would you do? If
you had unlimited money, or found out you only had a month
to live, what would you do? Write your answers down.
3. Establish your current financial position. What is the
cash inflow and outflow. Horrors! Which areas can be
improved upon? Everything!
4. Develop your NEW plans. Decide what action you are going
to take that will move you closer to the achievement of your
goals? All goals should be specific and have a time
constraint.
5. Closely monitor the performance of your investments
(what's that, Craig?) and your rate of savings.
6. Try to put extra savings into investment (it could even
be your own business, if that's your ultimate goal, your
dream).
7. Review and reward yourself annually if your financial
targets are met.
8. Pursue your personal goals and business ideas with all
you've got - with real PASSION and PURPOSE. If you really
BELIEVE In them, they are far more likely to be achieved.
9. Still try to live a BALANCED life... or as balanced as
you can make it. (I need a lot of work on that one!).
Money doesn't buy happiness; yet I'd rather be unhappy in
comfort!
10. The highest cost of all is the cost of waiting to TAKE
ACTION to change your current circumstances in life (as 94%
of the population apparently are dissatisfied with their
situations. It is up to you to do things differently. So
take ACTION now - to change course, if you are in the 'smell
brown financial mire.
Always remember,
* True prosperity is created from within. All prosperity is
created in the mind. You are only as wealthy, happy or as
prosperous, as WHAT YOU FEEL... and what you make up your
mind to be. And money is not everything. For me, health,
family and happiness are far far more important
considerations.
You get only one shot at life, so make the most of it.
Aim high, dream high.
If you aim for the tree tops, you might not get off the
ground ... so why not aim for the stars.

HAVE THE COURAGE TO TAKE THE FIRST STEP!

Quite a few years ago, I was enjoying an afternoon in the
park with a couple of friends of mine. One of my friends had
brought her dog, and as we were playing Frisbee, another dog
came out of nowhere and started viciously attacking my
friend's dog. One of my friends, Mark, reacted instantly,
running to the dogs and managing to beat off the attacking
dog and causing it to run away.
What did I do during that momentary instant of chaos? I
froze. I stood there. I just stood there, watching the whole
thing. Even now, even though it was a minor incident taking
place 10 years ago, I still look back at that moment with
shame. I resolved that I would never let fear keep me from
taking action when action was needed. With a few exceptions
(of course), I like to think that I've been able to live up
to this resolution.
I think this lesson has an important parallel in business
and marketing. One of the factors that keeps a lot of people
from succeeding is the fact that we are usually afraid to
push our limits. That means we end up taking the safe route
and never understanding what we are truly capable of.
Take, for instance, starting a home business. Most people
have dreamed of owning their own business, or at least
supplementing their income with a side venture. However, 99%
of those people don't take the risk to actually take the
first step. They are afraid that they will lose money, or
that they will fail, or that they will just look silly.
Well, first off, there are ways of beginning a business with
very little money, especially if you don't mind starting off
small. As for the fear of failing, so what? Failing is not
something that you should be ashamed of -- instead, you
should be proud that you had the courage to try. The same
goes for 'looking silly' -- who is sillier, the person who
tries something innovative and creative, or the person who
sits back and does nothing? I know what my answer is to
THAT question.
I'm not trying to be a Tony Robbins here and say that you
can achieve anything you want just by visualizing it -- all
I'm saying is that NO ONE should be afraid to try to achieve
their dreams. I'm not advocating quitting your job and
sinking all your savings into junk bonds -- but don't let
fear keep you from exploring all your avenues. Sure, you may
have some regrets, but then again, you may end up praising
the day that you decided to act. If you just sit back and do
nothing, it is much more likely that you will have regrets
later in your life.
