Affiliate programs is the way most of us start earning money on the internet. It's probably without a doubt one of the easiest ways to start simply because you don't need your own website or product. What many fail to realize is that they should have a working knowledge of the product they are selling. Know how it works inside out. It doesn't always mean you have to buy the product but it's much easier to sell to someone else if you have it and know how it works. The easiest way to sell products is to talk about them. Write articles that will appeal to different audiences. More importantly, know how you product works and what it will do for someone. Remember, the whole point of having a product is so that you can solve someone's problem(s). As an example, we'll use Make Your Own Software. Yes, I have the product. And because I do I am able to explain and share with you just how easy it is to use. And that's what I've done at Make Your Own Software. It's such a great product that I wrote my own review of it as well. It only takes two sales and the rest of the money is yours. So it's worth your investment plus you have a way to make your own products, viral tools -- and what about tools for your every day business such as invoices. Make Your Own Software is a winner. Today's Feature Article from Bob Osgoodby talks about that very thing in Overnight Miracles. Writing not only gets the message out there about your products but about you as well. Our Special Feature is Who Rekindles Your Light? by Steve Goodier. There is really very little in life that we should have to do on our own. I suppose you could choose to but you would be the one losing out.
Have a great day and keep smiling. Lois M. JearyPublisher, KIT and the Home4Success Channel KIT Online Archives Get Your Own QuikView Sidebar Reader/BookMark Server Here Feature Article Internet Tip of the Week by Bob Osgoodby Overnight Miracles
As a publisher of four online newsletters, I get a number of articles submitted to me every day. While most of the articles have merit and are interesting, there are a few things that many of the authors don’t take into account. No – I’m not talking about spelling or grammatical mistakes. Serious authors seldom submit an article with these types of errors. But even the best do so on occasion. As editor of our publications, I will correct an occasional error. If the submission contains multiple errors, it quickly gets put in the “round file.” Face it – we publish six days a week and simply don’t have the time to rewrite submissions. So, what is important and will give you as an author a leg up. If your article is simply a rehash of something that has been covered in the past, the odds are it will not be published. Articles should be timely and cover things that are of current interest. The topic of starting a home business, for example, has been “done to death”, and unless you have a fresh approach, forget about it. Above all, don’t date your article. What I mean is that an article that is built on a certain person or event, may have only short term interest. If it isn’t picked up immediately, it will most likely be trashed. Never discuss religion or politics. You will immediately alienate a portion of your potential readers. If you use humor irony, or innuendos be very careful, because some people may take offense. A good source of ideas is your local newspaper or browsing the web. There are many topics of current interest that could get the attention of a publisher. And don’t limit yourself to just business. Personal improvement is always a good topic. Don’t trust your memory. I carry a pen and notepad with me at all times. When an idea surfaces, jot it down. It may or may not prove to be worthwhile when you try to “flesh out” the article. If you are struggling to write the article, it usually isn’t a good topic. The next thing to consider is the length of the article. Shorter articles have a better chance of being published than longer ones. While an article of 1,300 words or so might be excellent, it has little chance of being published. It is simply too long. The author must realize that their article is just one piece of an online publication. If the article is too long, it won’t be read. Subscribers to newsletters are looking for quick information and not scholarly tomes. If you don’t know what you’re talking about – don’t. There are a lot of people in this world who may be more knowledgeable than you on a specific subject. Write about things that you know, and if there is a doubt on a fact or a date, research your facts. Don’t be discouraged if your submission is not immediately published. Many newsletters are written around a current theme, and at that time, yours may not be a fit. My library of articles goes back about 6 years. Very often when I am looking for something specific to publish, I go back into that library. If the article is not out of date, it is a good candidate for publication. Finally, when you submit your article include a short description and a word count. Never make a publisher “jump through hoops” to read your article as they won’t. Don’t make them go to a web site or an auto-responder to get your article. Include it in the body of your email so it can be read immediately. If you follow these simple rules, you will be published. As you gain name recognition it will improve, but don’t expect overnight miracles. -----Did you know that subscribers to Bob Osgoodby's Free Ezine the "Tip of the Day" get a Free Ad for their Business at his Web Site? Sorrow rues the clouds but does nothing to let in the sun. Each day is your canvas. You are the artist. Paint a masterpiece on as many days as you can and your life will become a work of art. - Martin Luther King, Jr. Special Feature Who Rekindles Your Light?
"Well, I have been through a lot of tough times," she told me. "In fact, sometimes it was awfully hard for me and my husband. He couldn't always find work. Some days he would come home horribly depressed and say, 'Things are so bad I don't know if I can take it.' And I would say to him, 'Well, you know, things could be worse.' And once he said, 'I've heard that so many times I think I'm gonna die!' I was hurt...but I just hated to see him so depressed. I didn't know what to say. Later he confessed that if I would have wept in despair, he wouldn't have been able to make it. He needed me during those times." Over the years, it has occurred to me that HOW she responded to her husband's pain was probably not as important as the simple fact that she was there and cared. He knew he could always count on her to be a ray of light in his darkness and a strong hand to lift him when he stumbled or to soothe his hurts. He needed her ... and for similar reasons, she needed him, too. Albert Schweitzer said so well, "Sometimes our light goes out but is blown into flame by another human being. Each of us owes deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this light." During those difficult times they rekindled one another's light. Who rekindles your light? Who blows your light into flame when it threatens to flicker out? Sometimes this person is a relative, sometimes a teacher, or a minister, or a special friend. If you need the light of your spirit rekindled during this bleak time, there are those who will listen and care. Likewise, a great and wonderful gift you can give is to fan into flame the spirit that is in another. Rekindling someone's flame is an important task we perform, for few of us can go it all alone. The greatest weapon against darkness is, and always has been light. Even one small light is stronger than the darkness. _______Steve Goodier's books & newsletter: http://LifeSupportSystem.com. Hot Tip This past week brought me 63,817 spam messages. Now I suppose if I received a buck for each one every week, we could say I getting pretty wealthy and it certainly wouldn't be so bad simply because I'd be making really good money on the spam, right? Needless to say, it keeps getting worse which is why I use MailWasher Pro. I would be lost with my MailWasher Pro. Another great partner to MailWasher Pro is Benign. All you have to do is set it and forget it. It will keep all the nasties out of your Inbox. It goes after the viruses, trojans and messages that can be a problem. My anti-virus company would prefer me to use them for everything but Benign is easy to use - always a big plus. As I said - you set it and forget it. These are two must have tools in your arsenal to deal with the travesty email has become. Benign®. KIT is published on the Home 4 Success channel. |
