Hi. Welcome to today's issue of KIT. I hope my fellow Canadians had an enjoyable Thanksgiving weekend. We've been very fortunate in the weather department here in Manitoba. Lots of sun and temperatures in the 70's this past week for which I'm very thankful for. Last night was the first night in over a week that I needed to put on a fire. :-)

Next Tuesday, the 21st, I'll be having surgery on my right wrist. The reason I'm sharing this with you is the recovery time is quite lengthy. I had the same surgery on my left wrist three years ago. Being right-handed will make this even more of a challenge this time.

I purchased Dragon Naturally Speaking, the Preferred version 7 and thought perhaps it would be a good idea to test it out before I had to, rather than after, so parts of today's issue have been dictated to my computer. Obviously, I'll need to spend a bit more time training the system but it looks very promising.

There are days when no matter which way you turn, nothing seems to 'work' in an effective way. This is a good time to take a step back and regroup. Dean F. Mapa shares some ideas in When Marketing Frustration Threatens to Overwhelm You in today's Feature Article.

When Marketing Frustration Threatens to Overwhelm You

One of the more common posts you'll find in Internet marketing forums is an expression of frustration in that marketing efforts are not producing any results.

I was there once and I completely empathize! But I persevered and, while I'm not a millionaire, having an online business does have its rewards.

Frustration doesn't have to dictate upon you and declare it's the end of the road. Look at it as a call for a hiatus or a break from your work. It's that time in your labors when you merely have to take a breather and give renewed thought to you business.

Here are a few helpful brain food:

1. What is your motivation? Is it merely to earn money? Ultimately that's every marketer's goal. However, there are many ways to meet that goal. You can take small steps or various turns. Perhaps you can first build a web site that shares what you already know and then go on from there.

My first site on a free web host was a inspirational site. It was put up not to make money but to inspire. Eventually, it brought in some earnings from affiliate links placed here and there. But my motivation was to inspire. Earning money was the bonus.

2. Reset your goals. Don't as yet go for the big ones. Accomplish the small ones first by doing small tasks each day. When you get the hang of accomplishing the small tasks, you'll naturally progress to achieving the larger goals. Try earning first small amounts then graduate to the bigger ones.

3. Assess your strengths. Some years back when frustration was about to compel me to throw my computer into the trash can, I wrote an article to myself (my outlet when frustrated, depressed or such is writing) and entitled it, "The Essence of Success."

I took a chance and submitted it to the defunct Internet Day, which had thousands of subscribers then. To my surprise they e-mailed me the next day to inform me they were publishing it and it came out on the next issue. That article garnered for me more than 200 subscribers when it was published.

4. Assess what you're selling. It just may not be you. The affiliate programs that are not making money for me, I learn in hindsight, are programs I don't feel strongly about. This means you have to buy the program you want to sell and be passionate about it.

If you're selling a service or your own product, assess it. Is it something people need or want? Are you mentioning its benefits? Look at it inside and out. Perhaps you need to re package it.

5. Learn some more. Study the sites of successful marketers, their copy, their products, their methods. Visit the forums and ask questions.

There are also marketers out there who aren't well-known gurus but they sure know their stuff and are just ever willing to spill the beans. In truth, it's from these unknown marketers that I've learned the best marketing strategies.

So there! Frustration is just an emotion. You can conquer it. For all you know, it could be a sign that success is just around the corner.

Starving Your Soul ... Dying from the Inside Out

The soul is your compass, your battery, your guide, your best friend, and your worst enemy. It is that little voice in your head and that funny feeling in your stomach. The soul is the wild roar for a victory and the deep sob for a loss. It is the tears of anguish and excitement. It is everything that you could ever want to be, but just don't know it yet. Your soul is your spirit to achieve, and be, and live beyond the wildest dreams that are indeed within your reach.

The soul provides the perfect balance for the human existence. To be whole, the human being has needs that must be satisfied. The soul gives to you and must satisfy its giving nature to be whole. One cannot exist without the other. Yet, many people today find that they aren't able to feel their souls because it's hidden under a pile of experiences and contradicting beliefs. It is usually tempered by years of practice because emotions and feelings are a sign of weakness in today's society. It is a natural occurrence in today's world---removing opportunities to enjoy a natural balance that the Universe gave us at birth.

Sadly, though, if your soul is neglected, hidden away in a box, you can become aimless and unsettled. You can begin to feel that your life lacks purpose and contentment. Many people feel mentally ill or depressed at this point. But, there's nothing physically or mentally wrong with you. There is no disease or imbalance that can launch a person into a melancholic state, day after day, faster than a starved soul. When the soul has been neglected, the entire body and mind suffer in every way.

A starved soul is easy to spot---you can't see or feel the person. But, if you do, there is some type of extreme energy emanating from them. Souls become starved when they have been denied the freedom to exercise their Universal given creativity. Poetry, art, music, sculpture, dance, dramatic arts, and a dozen other pursuits spur the creative impulse that has been breathed into every human at birth. The exercise of this creative impulse delivers vibrant life and purpose.

Throughout our lives, we were all, at one time or another, guided, or misguided, into something that "was for our own good." But, the information usually comes from another human who, at one time or another, was guided to do something "for their own good." All of these "goods" add up to the collapse and frustration of the soul.

I remember that throughout my time in high school and college, I was chastised for daydreaming and goofing off. I never did anything to hurt anyone, I just didn't pay attention. I already knew the answers, for some strange reason, and was bored. I tested well and graduated with high scores in mathematics, computer science, and electronics technology. As soon as I graduated, I began writing books for various publishers. But, my elders told me that I needed to "earn a livelihood before I can play."

Years went by and I was utterly miserable. I didn't know why, because I had it all and was doing well. Heck, everyone else was miserable, so I figured that working in a closet as a manager in a corporation for the rest of my life was the way it was to be. I wanted to daydream and goof off again, but make money doing it. But, I felt guilty breaking away from the established lines to become a writer. So many "buts" and "what ifs." In the meantime, I was becoming frustrated and lost and just did things to do them as was expected.

The universe heard my calling one day! In the peak of my successes and the grandeur of my career, my company was purchased and moved out of state. I was stuck because my wife, her career, and her family were in Colorado. So, we took a chance and stayed. I was scared to death. So, I started writing again. Years later, I realized that this was Universe's way of saying ... "what're you waiting for dummy?"

It's no wonder so many people live their lives in spiritual destitution. The creativity that ought to fuel every thing in life is stifled through information and experiences garnered from others who are stifled. Don't starve your spirit. Listen to what it is telling you. Learn what creative gift the Universe has given you. Love it and care for it. It's as important as the food you eat every day.

To begin your journey, you have to clear the years of gunk away just far enough for your soul to poke its hand out. Once you grab that hand, pull hard until your soul can stand on its own. Nurture it, play with it, and see what it can do. You will be amazed at the possibilities once you allow your soul the opportunity to see the light of day.

One thing to remember is that you must always remain grounded. I have had times where I have taken off to other worlds in my writing brain. However, I had to do something like vacuum the house to remember that I still had earthbound responsibilities. But, I learned that these responsibilities are only a very small part of life. What I have seen through my "souler eyes" made life and its responsibilities much easier and much more fulfilling.

Whether your objective in life is to be a writer or not, the idea behind the writing examples in this article is simply to touch your soul. Bring it out into the daylight and have fun with it. There is nothing in all of eternity that you cannot do and that you don't already know---all you have to do is harness it, and ask. It's all there for you, but, without a healthy soul, it will be difficult to find.

I was listening to radio talk show hosted by Peter Warren on Sunday. I was picking up my husband from work and only caught a few moments of the program.

RECOL is an initiative that involves an integrated partnership between international, federal and provincial law enforement agencies.

RECOL will recommend the appropriate law enforcement or regulatory agency and/or private commercial organization for potential investigation.

The site is new so you will see a few 'coming soon' pages but their goal is to provide real time data pertaining to current fraud trends. They also provide support for education, prevention and awareness of economic crime.

I'd suggest bookmarking the site RECOL so that you will have it if you need to report a complaint or want information about current frauds or trends. Hopefully this site will develop and provide a useful means to cut back on online fraud.

Have you ever mistakenly deleted part of a previously saved document that you were updating? Most of the time, the "Undo" command under "Edit" on the Task Bar will recover it for you. But if that doesn't work - don't despair.

Save the current document under a new name. Then call up the old one again, and the old document will be there without any changes. You can then cut and paste the part you deleted into the new one.

Reminder - When was the last time you checked for product updates for windows? Hackers take advantage of loopholes in the older versions, and you should check for "Critical Updates" on a periodic basis. To do this, go to Critical Updates
